0:04You know, we're still on break.
0:06We're creating a new season that I think you're really going to like.
0:09But last week, there was this important report that dropped that I think got a lot of attention.
0:14It's about football.
0:15And there was this new study in the British Medical Journal, which estimates that of all the NFL players who died between 2016 and 2021, about 878 players, at least 25% of them had confirmed CTE.
0:30That's chronic traumatic encephalopathy.
0:33That is the disease that is caused by repetitive hits to the brain.
0:36Surely you've heard of it by now.
0:38So CNN's resident NFL veteran, Coy Weire, he called me.
0:43We called fellow CNN sports anchor Andy Scholz, and we were talking about it.
0:47Andy, by the way, has three sons who also play the game.
0:51And we started having this really candid conversation about football, about how parents are grappling with this news about CTE, and just overall weighing the pros and the cons of youth sports against the risks.
