0:05You know, I think it's fair to say that the introduction of GLP-1s, starting with Ozempic back in 2018, have completely revolutionized healthcare.
0:15Not only do the medications help manage diabetes, which is what they were originally designed to do, but in case you've missed it, they've also helped people lose weight, sometimes transformative amounts of weight, without having to white knuckle it.
0:29And now we're very clear that GLPs can also affect the brain.
0:34And because of that, they can help manage addictive or compulsive behaviors, conditions for which there have been very few effective long-term treatments, and frankly, a lot of stigma and shame.
