0:00Dr. Kristen Holmes, welcome to the podcast.
0:02I want to jump right in.
0:03Living in alignment, not living in alignment.
0:06These seem like very small things
0:08that you talk about in your book,
0:10but when you get into the data,
0:11which obviously you have access to so much of it,
0:13you realize that these tiny little things,
0:16like getting sunlight in the morning,
0:17like being mindful of how closely you eat to bedtime,
0:21they seem so small, they seem so innocuous,
0:24and yet they, over a period of time,
0:26have profound impacts on our life.
0:29So could you take a little time there and walk us through that schedule of what is like misalignment look like?
0:36Like, why is that misalignment?
0:37We know from the data that contrast really matters, right?
0:41We want to create as much contrast between the day and night as possible.
0:47So that means as much bright light during the day as humanly possible, right?
0:53You want to be out in the natural light and even artificial light is helpful.
0:57Our body is expecting to be awake and alert during the daytime, during the biological day.
