0:02How did you get to where you are today?

0:04Yeah, so I grew up in the San Gabriel Valley, east side of LA, some project housing.

0:10And I grew up kind of not the stereotypical Asian.

0:13Like I didn't like anime and I didn't like mathematics.

0:16I liked guns and gangbanging basically.

0:18And it's prior to that is because my parents were immigrant parents.

0:24They did not fend very well, obviously landed in poverty.

0:28They came with American dream in mind, realizing that it's not as simple as other people were portraying it, like our family back home.

0:37So yeah, we landed in the projects.

0:39They didn't understand gang violence, gang culture.

0:42They just thought, oh, this place is cheap.

0:43The government helps us.

0:45Why not?

0:46Land there.

0:47And my dad, he was a chef by trade, but he tries to, you know, do everything that a man can do, right?

0:55Provide for his family.

0:57He starts to develop this addiction, which is to alcohol.
