0:07All right, hey guys, so today's podcast is going to be unique.
0:09It's a dive into the deep end of understanding you.
0:13And I'm with Dr.
0:14Steven Porges, who you'll hear about in a minute, but we don't waste any time.
0:18So we're going to use terms that many of you haven't heard of before, like HRV, which stands for heart rate variability.

0:30And that matters because they believe, you know, in modern science, that that's an indicator of what physical state your body's in, the neurostate that you're in.
0:39You'll hear about parasympathetic and sympathetic state.
0:42All you need to know about that is the sympathetic state is sort of considered fight or flight mode in most circles.
0:48And the parasympathetic state is known as more of like a peaceful or flow state.
0:53The vagal nerve or the vagus nerve.
0:55It's just a nerve that runs.
0:57Really, it's the longest nerve in your body.
0:59And this nerve, when stimulated, they believe changes that state that you're in.
